Born in São Paulo, SP, 1960.

Graduated from the Law School of the University of São Paulo (USP), in 1982 and admitted to the Brazilian Bar in 1983. His background includes a period of one year working at the international legal department of a trading company in Tokyo, Japan and three years in the tax department of an international audit company in São Paulo, dealing with all Brazilian taxes as well as U.S. Individual Income Tax. He joined the firm in 1987 to be responsible for the international issues. Member of the Computer Law Association, he attended the Harvard Law School Program of Instruction for Lawyers on copyright, environmental and international law (1997) and basic negotiation (1998).
